Semi-Automatic Classification Plugin major update: version 8.4.0

The Semi-Automatic Classification Plugin (SCP) has been updated to version 8.4.0.

This new version allows for an alternative installation method of the Python dependencies.

In case of issues with the installation, the SCP could fail to start or show a message about updating the required Python dependency Remotior Sensus.

As a possible solution, one can install the additional plugin named QPIP (developed by OPENGIS.ch) that allows for managing Python dependencies in QGIS, following these steps:

1. open the QGIS Plugin manager;

2. search and install the plugin QPIP;

3. search and install (or reinstall) the Semi-Automatic Classification Plugin; a QPIP window should pop up notifying about the required dependency Remotior Sensus, click OK and wait for the installation to complete;

4. close the QGIS Plugin manager and restart QGIS.

The interface of the Semi-Automatic Classification Plugin should appear in QGIS.
